Thomas Kwok is an entrepreneur (Singapore company “TP Business Alliance Pte Ltd”) since 2016 in social infrastructure on secured broadband and Safe city projects from Myanmar and Indonesia which apparently did not proceed with the government.
Thomas spends 34 years with 7 major MNCs in various roles from Operations to Project and Business development for Social Infrastructure development and in Banking industry (OCBC Bank) and Securities printing (Thomas De La Rue). He graduates from University of Southern Queensland and University of Oxford (Delicacy of local examination) in Computing science and major in Business computing.A season practitioner of Project management and PMP from Institute of Project Management. His highlight in majors project involvements are
- Director of Business development for Hitachi Asia (Regional Head Office) over seeing social innovation for 6 keys pillars of Power, Water, Mobility, ICT, Urban solutions and Nuclear medicine for Asia Belt Region from 2011 to 2016 to support South East Asia region.
- O&M set up for SGD$3.2B contract value for WTE & Water treatment on behalf of Qatar municipal government appointed as Director General in 2009 to end 2010.
- Development of 800MW CCPP for Power Seraya costing SGD$800M, Master Planning and commercial utilities for Green and Brown field development from 2007 to 2009 appointed as Project Development Manager. The company was later sold to YTL Berhad and rename to YTL Power Seraya.
- Having spent 4 years with OCBC Bank as project lead (AVP) for Organization and Methods for Banking engineering back in 2000.As Project development manager for Sembawang Engineering in Utilities projects for Wafer Feb Park, Pharmaceutical Park, Chemical Park development and SUT 2 for high grade industrial water and hazardous waste incineration from 1997 to 1999.
- As Project Manager for Thomas De La Rue for Securities Printing (Currencies) in Singapore having the largest plant for the largest securities printing company from 1995 to 1997.
- As his first employment in Petrochemical Corp of Singapore for 13 years performing Utilities Operations and Project in Distributed Control System in Utilities to support the Petrochemical Hub from 1983 to 1995 and also involvement of $6B phase 2 expansion of Petrochemical plant.
Currently, Director and Chief Operation Officer of APRESolutions Inc “Asia Pacific Renewable Solutions Inc.” which started in early 2020 in the Philippines and it is a Makita based registered company as a developer to engage with local government unit “LGU” for Waste to Energy and Biomass projects across the Philippines as a start-up company. Currently, 3 locations are under commercial and technical development with the authorities for BOOT to secured 25 years Concessions for domestic waste commitment, power purchase agreement and to funding from both financial and non-financial institution.
