
Mr. Sng Yeow Liang is currently the Chief Executive Officer of Oman Deep Ocean LLC, a special purpose vehicle providing development and investment opportunities to exploit Deep Ocean Water technology and resource for water security and economic diversification. The economic interests cover a diverse range of specialised domains including Municipal Water, Bottled Water, District Cooling, Functional Food, Agriculture and Aquaculture. Mr Sng and his team, augmented by international experts, serve to deliver the right financial and operational outcomes desired by investors, shareholders, clients, regulators and the public in general.
Mr. Sng began his career as a young Naval Engineer with the Republic of Singapore Navy. He served a full 30-year career rising to the pinnacle appointment of Head Naval Logistics, a principal staff to the highest decision making body of the Navy. His core competencies include strategic planning, organisational transformation, project management, system thinking, people management, corporate governance, amongst other military domain skillsets such as CapDev, MRO, SCM, ILS, LCM.
Beyond the Navy, Mr. Sng served in the Offshore Oil and Gas (OOG) industry and subsequently the Water industry. In the OOG industry, he helmed the Vice-President position for Supply Chain and Marine Engineering, enabling the fulfilment of various offshore EPCIC projects globally. These covered projects spanning the coasts of Brunei, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Myanmar, India, UAE, Mexico and Argentina. Moving to the Water industry, Mr. Sng served as the Senior Managing Director for Middle East Operations, and concurrently the General Manager of Qurayyat Independent Water Project in the Sultanate of Oman. He is conversant in managing complex large scale projects with a good hold on cross-cultural integration.
Mr. Sng received his Engineering Degree from Nanyang Technological University (First Class Honours). He is accredited with UK Engineering Council as a Chartered Engineer, and also a Chartered Marine Engineer and Fellow with the Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology (IMarEST). Mr. Sng recently completed the Strategic Leadership with Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Programme from Singapore Management University.
